Fighting
Casting
Spells:
A
spell can not be broken/countered once cast unless the defender is of greater status or has completed the offical sorcery
school of the world. There’s only one way to learn sorcery and it is through THAT school, no matter what. In order to
get approval of completion of this school, you must contact the OVERSEER and then ask to recieve such magical title. It will
take time and patience to get it just as in “real life”. Upon recieving said status, everyone will be nitified
and you’ll be given a chart with your abilities and weaknesses in which you must post on your page.
A spell CAN be avoided by certain talismans that can ONLY be acquired by any power that is higher than Necromancer.
Talismans may only be used once, and when used, put in a specific hint as to where you got it. EX: I just used the talisman Siofra gave to me.
Spells
can be changed if it is a long term effect, and it can only be changed by a high ranking Sorceress or Magician.
Any
spell can be removed through Death, but death an only be reached and escaped by a Necromancer or through a Necromancer.
Every Spell takes up
an amount of energy! No matter who you are, when you recieve your magical abilities chart, you will learn of the highest spells
and lowest spells. And you will be given a rate of the total amount energy you will have per battle/event. It’s confusing,
but submit to the school and you’ll soon understand.
More rules are
coming soon so bare with me ok? We'll soon get everything sorted out! Right now, you need to post
on you page:
-
Where you're from
-
Your talents
-
Your weaknesses
Not too much to do...
SO DO IT!
Godmoding
in Online Role Playing
In recent years the term godmoding
has become an extremely negative term referring to behavior on online role-playing games such as MU*s and PBEM/Online text-based role-playing game forums in which a character takes on powers, attributes and abilities far beyond what would be considered acceptable,
forces his or her own actions on another player, or disrupts gameplay with an overly powerful character that exploits its
'godlike' abilities to the detriment of the game and other players. Across the internet, godmoding may also be noted as powergaming, twinking, and munching. Subcategories of godmoding exist as well.
(Stolen from Wikipedia... thanks
Wiki... you’re my BEEEEEST FRIEND!)
Example: One character (Jane) fires an arrow at another
(Joe). Joe claims that the arrow did not hit him because he has ninja skills, when he is only a peasant. As he did not state
before that he is a ninja, this would be considered godmodding.
Example: Jane fires another arrow and says that no matter
what it hit him because there’s nothing he could do.
Example: Jane is having a conversation with Joe. She replies
to her questions for him.
Example: Joe breaks a spell placed upon him or another
object when the spell caster clearly stated that it was impossible to break. Since
he does not have the higher ranking of magical-ness and/or a higher status than he could not have possibly done this!
TRANSPORTATION
You can only transport according to your magical reviews
from the over-seer if you are planning to travel via MAGIC.
Other ways of transport include horse, foot, wagon, falcon,
and/or death. DEATH can only be accessed by a Necromancer or if you’re a special case.
